Ultrumax-Center Speaker

         Ultrumax-Center is a horizontal placement enclosure based on the Ultrumax-U2a design as the center speaker for the multi-channel sound systems; two Mark & Daniel’s global leading, the 3rd-generation DM-8a AMT drivers have been installed on the speaker panel to reproduce from 200Hz to 22KHz, the amazing 6.5 octaves super-wideband in frequency spectrum!  These outstanding DM-8a AMT drivers ensure all music essence can be reproduced from just one single mode drivers and yield the unparalleled true loud-and-clear human voice and hi-fi reproduction due to the AMT operation mode for excellent transient response, high resolution, coherently resistive impedance without crossover distortions between different drivers.

         This precious, handmade Ultrumax-Center enclosure has the following dimensions: H: 14.2cm (5.6”) x W: 50.0cm (19.7”) x D: 12.4cm (4.9”); the reinforced, low resonant CAM compound marble enclosure with the shaped panel is extremely solid and heavy. Each unit weighs 7.3Kg (16 lb).

         The Ultrumax-Center is mainly designed applicable on mid/large audition rooms as the center speakers for AV and/or multi-channel application. In order to get a high SPL performance, two identical DM-8a AMT drivers are working together yet each with 6-degree off the axle center so be able to get a wider dispersion in the horizontal direction; due to DM-8a drivers have good sound dispersion for the vertical angle to listener, Ultrumax-Center speaker can have a large tolerance for its height placement.

         Ultrumax-Center speaker’s low-end frequency response has reached to the omni-directional 200Hz bass range, it takes the advantage be able to match with any subwoofer brand from the market that the adjustable crossover can cover to 200Hz range; the selection including M&D’s dedicated Ultrumax-Sub-Ia and Sub-IIs super bass systems, and of course may also co-work with your existing subwoofer to save budget.
